It is mandatory to have more than 40 percent disability issued by the medical officer of the government hospital for the acceptance of disabled pension

BPL in the age group of 0 to 18 years, who are suffering from more than 40 percent severe or multiple disabilities, are given pension at the rate of Rs.700/- per month.

Income certificate is issued by Tehsildar of concerned Tehsil.

The person holding more than 40 percent disability certificate issued by the medical officer has the right to accept disability pension. In the rural area, the eligible person is selected in the open meeting of the Gram Panchayat and in the urban area, the sub-collector of the concerned tehsil has the right to accept the pension.

The amount of disabled pension is paid every 3 months.

According to the instructions of the government, the accounts of all the beneficiaries coming under Ramnagar and Haldwani tehsil of Nainital district-Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun (except the mountainous areas of Chakrata, Kalsi and Raipur blocks) should be compulsorily opened in nationalized banks. And there are instructions to compulsorily open bank accounts for the beneficiaries coming within a 3 km radius of the bank in hilly areas. However, the amount of pension is remitted through money order to the disabled living in remote areas with extreme old age and multiple disabilities

Financial Assistance to divyangs, divyangs who are free from leprosy, Monthly allowance to the parents of disabled children and to mentally handicapped wife/husband.

Monthly income should be up to Rs.4000/-
