The Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC is implementing 9 types of Scholarship Schemes for the SC/ST/OBC/Min, including CSS schemes & five State- Funded Schemes, online, on e-district Portal. Scholarship/Merit Scholarship to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities students (Class I TO XII) scheme is one of these.

The benefits under this scheme are as follows:

For SC/ST/MIN students
I to VIII ₹1000/- P.A (No % of Marks required)
For OBC students.
VI TO VIII ₹600/- P.A. (55% to 60% Marks in previous class)
₹720/- P.A. (60% & Above Marks in previous class)
For SC/ST/OBC/Min.
IX to X ₹1620/- P.A. (55% to 60% Marks in previous class)
₹2040/- P.A. (60% & Above Marks in previous class)
XI to XII ₹3000/- P.A. (55% to 70% Marks in previous class)
₹4500/- P.A. (Above 70% Marks in previous class)
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Students studying in Class 1 to 12th in Central Govt/ govt. of Delhi/ Aided/ Recognized/Local bodies schools are eligible.
2. Family income should not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh per annum
3. A student is allowed to avail the scholarship either under the State plan Scheme or Centrally Sponsored Scholarship Scheme, Whichever is beneficial to him/her.
4. The applicant belongs to the minority communities, should be a resident of Delhi for the past three years, and should upload proof thereof like EPIC card, Aadhaar Number, Ration Card, Landline telephone bill of MTNL, Driving License issued by GNCTD and Domicile Certificate issued by SDM in Delhi or pass book of nationalized bank. The applicant should upload Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) issued in the name of student or his father’s name by SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), GNCTD, Domicile Certificate of Delhi if the caste (SC) certificate is not issued by the competent authority of Govt. of NCT of Delhi is required.
5. In case of minority student, declaration by parent/guardian in prescribed format that his Son/Daughter belongs to particular Minority Community require to be uploaded on the portal.
