- Financial Assistance: Scholarship of Rs. 50,000 or more than Rs. 50,000 to eligible students to cover various educational expenses, including tuition fees, books, study materials, and living expenses. This financial assistance relieves the financial burden on students and their families, enabling them to pursue their education without worrying about financial constraints.
- Inclusive Education: The schemes promote inclusive education by offering scholarships at different educational levels, from pre-matric to postgraduate and professional courses. They ensure that students with disabilities have equal opportunities to access quality education, participate in mainstream educational institutions, and integrate into the larger student community.

Eligibility
- He/she should be a citizen of India
- A person with a disability having not less than 40% disability and having a disability issued by any competent medical authority.
- Not more than two disabled children of the same parents will be entitled to receive the benefits of the scheme. Provided in case the second child is a twin, the scholarship under this scheme will be admissible to both twins.
- Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, he/she would not get a scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.
- A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/stipend. If awarded any other scholarship/stipend, the student can exercise his/her option for either of the two scholarships/stipends, which is more beneficial to him/her, and should inform the awarding authority through the Head of the Institution about the option made.
Application Process
Fresh Application:
- Students applying for the scholarship for the first time should register as fresh applicants. They can visit the National Scholarships Portal and click on the "Student Login" option.
- Follow the instructions provided by the system to fill up the application form and save the details. Upon saving, a Temporary ID will be generated.
- The system will prompt the applicant to submit the Temporary ID and date of birth to proceed with filling the remaining details.
- After completing the registration and clicking the submit button, a Permanent Registration ID will be generated.
- This ID can be used to track the application status during the current academic year and for renewal in subsequent years.
Renewal Application:
- Students who received scholarships through the National Scholarships Portal in the previous year and are continuing the same course can apply for renewal. In the renewal application, minimal details from the existing application form, such as the Application ID and Date of Birth, need to be updated.
- Students can use the "Forgot Application ID" option if they need to retrieve their ID.
- Only students who received scholarship payments from NSP in the previous year will be eligible for renewal.
