The objective of the scheme is to train farmers in the method of mushroom cultivation and to supply quality spawn and pasteurised compost to farmers.

1. Supply of Button, Oyster spawns 2. Supply of compost to Mushroom growers. 3. Construction of compost shed (under Assistant Director of Horticulture, Mushroom Development Centre, Upper Shillong). 4. Financial assistance to Mushroom growers under District Horticulture Officer, West Garo Hills.

(i) Supply of Mushroom spawns at 50%subsidy (ii) Supply of Compost at 50% subsidy (iii) Construction of compost shed- 50% assistance (iv) Financial assistance to Mushroom growers @ ₹22,000/- per unit

The bonafide farmers engaged in agriculture, possessing own or leased land of at least 0.2 hectares or more are eligible to apply under the scheme.

The bonafide farmers can apply in plain paper through the nearest Horticulture Development Officer of a CD Block/ Horticulture Circle/ District Horticulture Officer.

The bonafide and progressive farmers shall be selected on a first come first serve basis.
