Details
- She is a widow.
- She is destitute without husband, parents and son(s).
- She is destitute due to desertion or physical/mental incapacity of 1. Husband in case of married women; or 2. Parents in case of other women.

Exclusions
- Not with standing the above, a woman employed by any Government or by any Local/Statutory Body or any organization substantially financed by any Government or Local/Statutory Body or who is drawing pension or family pension there from will not be eligible under this Scheme.
- “Pension” wherever occurring in any Government notification concerning Social Security Benefits means and includes, income received or accrued from accumulated earnings, including the following schemes:

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for widow pension in Haryana?
This is a State scheme under which destitute or deserted women and widow of 18 years of age or above are given pension as per eligibility criteria laid down in the rules of the scheme.
Who is not eligible for widow pension?
Only widow women below the poverty line are eligible to receive benefits under this yojana. The age of a woman must be between 18 to 60 years. If the widowed woman has remarried after the husband's death, she will not be eligible to receive benefits under this yojana.
