Any construction worker whose age is between 18 to 60 years and has worked in Punjab State in any construction work for a minimum of 90 days in a year, are eligible to register as a beneficiary under the Board.

The rate of registration fee is ₹25/- at the time of registration. It is a one time fee.

A registered worker is required to contribute ₹10/-per month as contribution fee to the Board.

Husband or wife, minor sons (including major sons who are insane or physically handicapped and unable to earn), unmarried daughters and the parents of the building worker, who are solely dependent on the registered worker.

To be eligible for this scheme, the applicant must be a registered construction worker of the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Welfare Board of Punjab, have completed 3 years of membership, be above 60 years of age, and be continuously depositing contributions to the Board.

The scheme provides a pension of ₹2,000/- per month to eligible construction workers.

Yes, applicants are still eligible to receive the pension under this scheme even if they are already receiving an old age pension from the Punjab Government or any other Board/Corporation.

For the application of the concerned welfare schemes of the Board, the construction worker has to visit the nearest Sewa Kendras or contact the Assistant Labour Commissioner/ Labour-cum-Conciliation Officer/ Labour Inspector/ Labour Enforcement Officer of the concerned area.
