What Shall Be The Amount Of Monthly Stipend Paid To The Interns?
A stipend amount of Rs. 15,000/- per month will be provided for physical internships only.
To Which Divisions Of The MNRE Will The Interns Be Attached?
These interns will be attached to the senior-level officers of the Ministry in various Programme Divisions.
Students From Which Education Streams Can Apply For This Internship?
The students of various Engineering, Science, Management, law and other streams may undertake internships in the Ministry and in organizations under its aegis to understand various activities of the Ministry to become Researchers/Managers in the renewable energy area.
What Shall Be The Deliverables On The Part Of The Interns?
"Interns" shall have an opportunity to learn about the Ministry’s functioning, programmes and policy, and issues in Renewable Energy and contribute to generating inputs such as analysis, technical reports/ technology advancement/ project reports/policy papers, etc. for the furtherance of the objectives of this Ministry.
How Many Times In A Year Does The Call For Applications Open?
The internship is available twice a year based on the MNRE requirement.
Can School Students Also Apply For This Internship?
The applicant should be pursuing graduate or post-graduate degree courses in Engineering/ Management/ Law/ Science stream/Renewable Energy in a recognized University/institution within India or abroad.
How Many Interns Are Taken Every Year?
A maximum of 20 interns will be provided internships per year.
What Shall Be The Duration Of The Internship?
The duration will be from two to six months to be counted from the day of the start of the internship.
Will Logistic Support Be Provided By The MNRE To The Interns?
Logistic Support: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy shall provide them with internet facilities and other necessities deemed fit by the concerned Heads for physical internship. Interns will be required to have their own Laptops. They shall also make their own lodging and boarding arrangements.
Does This Internship Guarantee Placement In MNRE?
There will be no commitment to the placement of interns in the Ministry or allied/ subordinate organizations.
Will The Interns Be Required To Prepare A Report During The Course Of The Internship?
The interns will be required to submit a Report / Paper on the allotted subject at the end of the internship to the Head of the Division. Seminar/presentation can be conducted by the HRD division in the presence of Heads of the division if, required.
When Will The "Certificate Of Internship" Be Awarded To The Interns?
A certificate will be issued to the interns on satisfactory completion of their internship and evaluation of their Report/Paper by the concerned.
