The scheme has been implemented with the objective of "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" to prevent female foeticide and to meet the education and marriage expenses of the daughter of a construction worker.

Under the scheme, a bond is provided in the name of the first girl child, up to one year of age, of registered Building and Other Construction Workers. This bond matures when the girl child reaches 18 years of age.

The bond amount is ₹25,000/- or as resolved from time to time by the authorities.

Construction workers registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board are eligible for the scheme.

Construction workers can avail of the benefits in the event of the birth of a girl child in their family.

The benefit of the scheme is provided for up to one girl child per registered construction worker.

The application form should be submitted within 12 months from the birth of the girl child.

No, the amount can only be withdrawn by the daughter after she completes 18 years of age.
