Objective: To provide financial assistance for meeting the marriage expenses of daughters of widow/ destitute women belonging to Schedule Caste.

Eligibility:

  • Mother of the Bride should belong to the Scheduled Caste community.
  • The assistance is admissible for the marriage of two daughters in a family.
  • Girl should be at least be 18 years of age on the date of marriage.
  • For the first marriage only.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs. 2000/- p.m. (To be verified by the Tehsildar)
  • Resident of UT, Chandigarh for more than 3 years.
  • If both the parents of the bride are dead, the legal guardian will be entitled to this assistance.
