• Marriage Assistance of ₹25,000/- is provided to a registered construction worker for the marriage of their dependent (sons, daughters, siblings, or themselves).

For Registration as a Building/ Construction Worker

1. The applicant should be a resident of Jammu & Kashmir.
2. The applicant should be a Building/ Construction Worker.
3. The applicant should be between 18 and 60 years.
4. The applicant should have engaged in any building or other construction work for at least 90 days during the preceding 12 months.
5. The applicant should be registration is renewed annually.

For Application to the Scheme

1. The applicant should be a registered member under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board of Jammu & Kashmir.
2. The assistance is available for up to three marriages of the worker's dependent sons, daughters, siblings, or the worker themselves.
3. The worker's membership must be active at the time of applying for the scheme.
4. The applicant must provide proof of the dependent relationship for sons, daughters, siblings, or self.

For Registration -

1. Passport-size photograph
2. Proof of age (e.g., birth certificate, school certificate)
3. Identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar Card)
4. Details of EPF (Employees' Provident Fund), if applicable
5. Proof of address (e.g., utility bill, voter ID)
6. 90 Days Work Duration Certificate issued by the competent authority
7. Bank account details (e.g., copy of bank passbook)
8. Any other document as required

For Application -

1. Nikkah Nama (for Muslim marriages), attested by a gazetted officer.
2. Marriage Certificate from MP/MLA/MLC, Sarpanch, Municipal Councillor, or Tehsildar.
3. Photo of Bride and Groom (one photo together, either at the time of marriage or later).
4. Original Marriage Invitation Card.
5. Marriage Registration Certificate (if registered with the Marriage Officer).
6. Affidavit attested by 1st Class Magistrate regarding the genuineness of the claim.
7. Marriage must be after Registration of the beneficiary to claim assistance.
8. Dependent Certificate (for brothers/sisters), issued by Naib Tehsildar/Tehsildar, confirming dependency and avoiding fraud.
