- Reduce School Dropout Rates: By ensuring that girls have access to menstrual hygiene products, the scheme aims to reduce school absenteeism and dropout rates among adolescent girls.
- Economic Empowerment: The scheme also has elements designed to economically empower women and girls through the promotion of local production and distribution of sanitary products.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Odisha.
- All school girls from classes 6th to 12th are eligible.
Application Process
- There is no need to apply anywhere to avail of the benefit of Odisha Khushi Scheme.
- Girls Students of Class 6th to Class 12 will get free Sanitary Pads/ Napkins in their School.
- The rural women will contact their area ASHA Worker to get 6 Napkins at the nominal rate of Rs. 6/-.
- An applicant may visit the nearest local Primary Health Centers (PHCs) or community health centers where information about the Khushi Scheme and its benefits might be available.
