The Scheme provides training and demonstration to farmers at the village level and, motivates the farmers to adopt modern Technologies in the field of Agriculture. The Scheme also facilitates exposure visits for farmers to agriculturally advanced states.

Assist in Training and capacity building and sponsoring Progressive/Award winning farmers for Exposure trips within/outside the State.

Farmers are imparted specialised training at the center including in the farmers' field. Exposure programmes and field tours are also conducted for farmers' groups.

The bonafide farmers of Meghalaya who are engaged in agriculture can apply under the scheme.

Bona fide farmers can apply in plain paper to the District Agriculture Officer, Jowai and District Training Officers, Tura/Shillong to avail the benefits of training and exposure visits.

The bonafide farmers having sufficient available cultivable land shall be selected on a first come first served basis.
