Any construction worker whose age is between 18 to 60 years and has worked in Punjab State in any construction work for a minimum of 90 days in a year, are eligible to register as a beneficiary under the Board.

Yes, the building worker must have completed 90 days of service as a building worker in the preceding 12 months.

Yes, the application for registration must be made in Form No. 28.

The rate of registration fee is ₹25/- at the time of registration. It is a one time fee.

A registered worker is required to contribute ₹10/-per month as contribution fee to the Board.

Husband or wife, minor sons (including major sons who are insane or physically handicapped and unable to earn), unmarried daughters and the parents of the building worker, who are solely dependent on the registered worker.

The applicant must be a registered member of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board of Punjab or a family member of the worker, to be eligible for this scheme.

Under this scheme, financial assistance is available for the following items: 1. Spectacle: ₹800/-. 2. Denture: ₹5,000/-. 3. Hearing Aid: ₹6,000/-.

The financial assistance is disbursed based on the actual expenditure as shown in the bills. The amount granted will be the lower of the actual expenditure or the specified maximum amount for each item.

The scheme provides benefits only once to the beneficiary or their family members.

For the application of the concerned welfare schemes of the Board, the construction worker has to visit the nearest Sewa Kendras or contact the Assistant Labour Commissioner/ Labour-cum-Conciliation Officer/ Labour Inspector/ Labour Enforcement Officer of the concerned area.
