Disability pension to disabled person is granted to Physically Handicapped person. Person who are disabled to the extent of 40% and are residents of Union Territory of Chandigarh and fulfil the income criteria i.e., family income does not exceed Rs.1.50 lacs p.a. is eligible for grant of pension.

The quantum of assistance is as under: -
  • The pension payable to each person shall be @Rs.1000/- p.m. to those people having 40% to 70% of disability.
  • Rs.2000/- p.m. to those people having more than 70% of disability.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, individual must fall under below eligibility:

  • Disability should be to the extent of 40% and above.
  • Resident of UT, Chandigarh for more than 3 years.
  • Monthly family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 1.50 lacs annually.
