- The Administrative Secretary of Information, Public Relations & Languages Department, Haryana will be competent to accord sanctions under this scheme.
- The expenditure under this scheme will be borne by the Information, Public Relations & Languages Department, Haryana. After sanction by the Administrative Secretary of this department, the amount of pension will be deposited in the bank account of beneficiary Satyagrahi.

- The applicant should be a Matribhasha Satyagrahi of Hindi Aandolan-1957 and had been imprisoned for participating in Matribhasha Hindi Satyagraha (Hindi Andolan).
- The beneficiary Satyagrahis will have to open an Aadhaar-linked savings bank account in any nationalized bank for transferring the pension amount to their bank accounts.
- The beneficiary Satyagrahis have to give a live certificate in the month of January every year.
- A Satyagrahi, getting a pension or honorarium of any kind from any other State Government will also be eligible. However, if an otherwise eligible Satyagrahi is getting a pension from any other State Government for the same purpose of an amount less than ₹10,000/- per month, the entitlement of pension under this scheme would be reduced by that amount.

What is “Matribhasha Satyagrahi Pension Scheme” scheme?
Under the scheme, the Government of Haryana is providing a monthly pension of ₹10,000/- to the Matribhasha Satyagrahis of Hindi Aandolan-1957 due to whose struggle and sacrifices Haryana came up as a separate State on the map of India. In case, a Satyagrahi has already passed away, the monthly pension will be given to his/her surviving spouse.
