What is the Maternity Benefit Scheme?
The Maternity Benefit Scheme was launched by the Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (A.B.O.C.W.W.B), under the Labour Welfare Department, Government of Assam. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to registered women beneficiaries during their maternity period.
What are the financial benefits provided under the Scheme?
The registered woman beneficiary is entitled to receive ₹20,000/- as maternity benefit during the period of maternity.
How many times can a beneficiary avail of the Maternity Benefit?
The maternity benefit shall be allowed twice to each registered woman beneficiary under this scheme.
Who is eligible to apply for the Maternity Benefit Scheme?
To be eligible for the Maternity Benefit Scheme: 1. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam. 2.
