What is the aim of the scheme?
The aim of these rules is to extend financial assistance to such of children who are fatherless or whose Parents/guardian get incapacitated due to physical injury or serious disease or become the victim of mental instability or has been sentenced to imprisonment or is untraceable or due to incapacity to any other similar factor.

This scheme was launched on 06.02.1984.
Who is eligible to get the benefits of the scheme?
The children who are deprived of parental support or care by reason of death, continued absence from the home of father for the last 2 years, or father/mother has been sentenced to imprisonment for a period not less than one year or physical or mental incapacity of a parent, are eligible to apply under the scheme.
Can a general category applicant be eligible to apply under this scheme?
Yes, this scheme is for all categories of applicants.
Is this scheme only for a resident of Haryana State?
Yes, the applicant should be a permanent resident of Haryana State.
What is the benefit of the scheme?
The financial assistance of ₹1850 per month per child up to the age of 21 years will be given to the eligible beneficiary.
How many children will get financial assistance in a family?
Benefits extend up to two children in a family only.
What is the income criterion under the scheme?
To get the benefits of the scheme, the income of parents/guardians should not exceed ₹2,00,000/- per annum.
Who is excluded from the scheme?
The guardian or any parent of the child is employed by any Government or by any Local/Statutory Body or any organization substantially financed by any Government or Local/Statutory Body or who is drawing pension or family pension therefrom will not be eligible under the scheme.

The eligible applicant may apply through both online & offline modes.
