The objective is to generate interest among the children of the fishermen community cash award incentive to the to the passouts of HSC exams.

This scheme was launched by the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department of the Govt. of Odisha.

The scheme provides scholarship of upto ₹ 7500/- based on the Percentage of marks secured in HSC examination.

In case the percentage of marks secured in HSC examination is 50% and above; the amount of the scholarship shall be ₹ 3,000/-.

In case the percentage of marks secured in HSC examination is between 60% and 69%; the amount of the scholarship shall be ₹ 5,000/-.

In case the percentage of marks secured in HSC examination is is 70% and above; the amount of the scholarship shall be ₹ 7,500/-.

The Budget provision under the scheme is to provide scholarship to 5510 numbers of meritorious children of fisher community.

After admission in to higher course, the award will be awarded once to a child via DBT. This assistance will be extended over and above the prevailing scope by the School & Mass Education Department.

Yes, being a bonafide permanent resident of Odisha is a mandatory condition for the scholarship.

Yes, in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, the applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the HSC Examination.

The following documents are required: 1. HSC Passing Certificate and Marksheet 2. Caste Certificate 3. Occupation Certificate (Affidavit) with Income Proof 4. College Admission Receipt 5. Bank Passbook Xerox 6. Aadhar Card Xerox 7. Photograph of Applicant
