What Will Be The Duration Of The Project?
The duration of the project will be three years from the date of receipt of funds in the institute’s account.
What Is The Maximum Limit Of Funding?
The Maximum Limit of Funding is ₹ 25,00,000.
What Percentage Of The Total Sanctioned Grant Shall Be "Recurring"?
Non-Recurring 75% and Recurring 25% of the total sanctioned grant.
What Part Of The Total Sanctioned Recurring Grant Will Be Received Only Upon The Submission Of The Audited Utilization Certificate?
50% of the total sanctioned recurring grant only after submission of the Audited Utilization Certificate and all requisite documents.
Can The Grant Be Utilized For The Purpose Other Than The Ones Specified In The Sanction Letter?
No, the grant will be utilized strictly for the purpose as specified in the sanction letter. Re-appropriation of funds from Recurring to Non-Recurring is allowed but not vice versa.
Can Equipment(S)/Item(S) Be Purchased From The Non-Recurring Grant?
The equipment(s)/item(s) purchased from out of non-recurring should be as per the specifications sanctioned by AICTE. The purchase cost below the sanction cost shall be restricted to the actual cost, and vice versa restricted to sanctioned cost. Excess costs shall be met by the Institute from its own resources.

Can The Recurring Grant Be Utilized For Travelling Abroad To Attend Conferences/Seminars?
The recurring grant can be utilized for the items sanctioned by the AICTE. This should not be used for travel abroad to attend conferences/seminars. However, for presenting a Paper in a Seminar / Conference within the country, the travel expenses may be met from the recurring grant.
How Many Number Of Proposals Are Acceptable Per Institute?
The maximum number of proposals acceptable per institute (including those sanctioned earlier but not completed) shall be five and three from Govt. institute and Pvt. Institute respectively. However, the maximum number of proposals acceptable to be approved per institute shall be two for Govt. and Pvt. Institute both.
What Is Meant By "Aadhaar Seeding"?
The fellowship is directly paid to the research scholars in their bank accounts. For this, the bank account numbers of the scholars are required to be Aadhaar linked and verified. This process is called "Aadhaar Seeding". As per the instructions of the Government of India, the Aadhaar has been made mandatory for the disbursement of all Government subsidies/Scholarships/Fellowships which are disbursed directly into the beneficiary’s account. Accordingly, Aadhaar will be used as an Identifier for the release of grants under these schemes.
Does Only The Submission Of An Application Form Guarantee The Award Of A Fellowship And Research Grant?
No, mere submission of an application form does not guarantee the award of a Fellowship and Research Grant.
Who Shall Be Held Responsible If The Applicant Furnishes Incorrect/Incomplete Information That Results In The Cancellation Of His/Her Candidature?
It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide correct information, failing which he/she will be solely responsible for the cancellation for his/her candidature.
Is There Any Application Fee?
No. The entire application process is completely free of cost.
