Details
The Scheme for Group Workshed for the Powerloom Sector was formulated by making the necessary modifications to the Group Workshed Scheme, which was prominent back then. These changes were made in the decentralized powerloom sector to organize individual powerloom units as a cluster. Moreover, this would result in improved working conditions in terms of premises and work environment as well as enhanced Work Efficiency ratio and competitiveness in the universal market.
The objective of the Group Workshed Scheme:-
- The primary objective of the Group Workshed Scheme is to simplify the establishment of worksheds in terms of modern looms in a new cluster or an existing one.
- This measure is bound to provide the required scale of hike in the economy for Business Operations.
- The Worksheds contributed under the Group Workshed Scheme are inclusive of the space required for setting up modern machine looms, and weaving preparatory and sectional warping machines.
- The space provided also includes the necessary functional area for the loom.
- The Area of Modern looms set up under the Group Workshed Scheme is enlisted based on the following scale:
- Automatic Loom: 200 Square Feet
- Shuttleless Loom: 400 Square Feet
- Wider width Shuttleless Loom: 600 Square Feet
- Dormitory: 125 Square Feet/Person
Benefits
The Group Workshed Scheme also provides its beneficiaries with land and construction costs at Subsidized prices. This is depicted in the table shown below:
1 General category subsidy on per unit cost of construction is 40% at the capital amount on Subsidy given per Sq.ft ₹ 400.
2 SC category eligible subsidy on per unit cost of construction is 75% at the capital amount on Subsidy given per Sq.ft ₹ INR 750.
3 ST category eligible subsidy on per unit cost of construction is 90% at the capital amount on Subsidy given per Sq.ft ₹ INR 900.
Eligibility
- State Government and its affiliated agencies.
- Any Company set-up under the Companies Act, 1956 amended under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 by a group of powerloom owners.
- The local sector Powerloom Association.
Application Process
Online
Step 1: A unit/applicant can apply for ATUFS after the machinery is installed for undergoing a joint inspection.
Step 3: Once the application is submitted, it will be forwarded to different stakeholders for verification.
Step 4: A Unique Identification Number (UID) is generated and provided to the applicants.
Step 5: Applicants can track the application online and can opt to get SMS/e-Mail updates about the application status through the UID.
Step 6: After the stakeholders approve, the Ministry of Textiles will release the funds.
