1. To boost up the area and production of all plantation crops like Arecanut, Cashewnut, Coconut, Pineapple, etc. 2. To provide a 50 % subsidy for planting materials and the construction of a soakage tank.

Department Of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Meghalaya has launched this scheme.

The scheme provides planting materials, poly-pipes and financial assistance for the construction of Arecanut soakage tank.

1. 50% subsidy on the sale of planting materials and polypipes. 2. 50% subsidy for construction of Arecanut soakage tank.

Bonafide farmers engaged in Agriculture, possessing own or leased land of at least 0.2 (hectares) or more.

Bonafide farmers can apply in plain paper through the nearest Horticulture Development Officer of a CD Block/ Horticulture Circle.

Bonafide farmers on first come first serve basis.
