The scheme is administered by the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board, under the Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, Government of Gujarat.

Under the scheme, eligible students can receive 50% of the laptop's cost or ₹25,000, whichever is less. The maximum laptop price limit eligible for assistance is ₹50,000.

Students whose parents are employed in factories/institutes within Gujarat and have been contributing to the Labour Welfare Fund for at least a year are eligible. Additionally, students must have scored over 70% in their class 12 board exams and be enrolled in a professional or design course.

The laptop must be purchased in the student's name, and it should be noted that students who have enrolled in courses abroad are not eligible for this scheme.

Applicants must apply within six months of purchasing the laptop in the same year in which they passed their board exams.
