The primary objective of the scheme is to provide financial support to registered construction workers who become disabled or incapacitated due to accidents at construction sites. By offering subsidies for e-rickshaw purchases, the scheme intends to help these workers sustain their livelihoods and support their families.

Eligibility criteria include registration with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board, being a registered construction worker who became disabled due to a construction site accident, owning a lithium-ion battery-operated vehicle, holding a tri-cycle license, and availing the scheme once per registered construction disabled worker.

Under the scheme, eligible individuals can receive a one-time subsidy of 50% of the ex-showroom price or up to ₹48,000, whichever is less, for purchasing an e-rickshaw. Additionally, assistance is available for the payment of Registration Fee and Road Tax for the first time of the new three-wheeler.
