The scheme aims to enhance the skills of individuals for advanced training in their trade or pursue special high-skilled training for entrepreneurial ventures or competitive employment.

Selected candidates receive sponsorship for relevant courses in neighboring states along with a stipend based on their educational qualifications.

Higher Secondary / ITI trainees receive a stipend of ₹2,500 per month.

Any Graduate or 3 years Diploma in Engineering trainees receive a stipend of ₹3,000 per month.

Trainees receive a one-time traveling allowance, restricted to 2nd class train fare, and accommodation charges as fixed by the institute.

The scheme covers course fees, honorarium, and accommodation charges as prescribed by the training units/institutions.

Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years of age to be eligible for the scheme.

Applicants need to possess the educational qualifications as prescribed by the Training Units/Institutions.

Applicants should be either native of Union Territory of Puducherry or continuous residents of the area for the past three years.

Mandatory documents include Aadhaar Card, Passport-sized Photo, Residence-cum-Nativity Certificate, Age Proof, and Educational Certificates/Marksheets.
