After the expiration of the 10-year lifespan of the mobility equipment, beneficiaries are eligible to reapply for new equipment. They would need to follow the same application process and provide updated documentation, including a new financial estimate for the equipment. The application is then reviewed and processed as before.

The financial assistance can be used for any mobility equipment that aids the Ex-Serviceman's mobility needs. This can include wheelchairs, crutches, or other devices deemed necessary.

Applicants can check the status of their applications by visiting the official website of the Kendriya Sainik Board and clicking on the "Status of Application" link. They need to enter their DAK ID and verification code to check the status.

The KSB Secretariat assigns applications to clerks for data entry and verification. The Section-in-Charge and JD(Welfare) verify and process the applications, and upon approval, they are processed for payment.

The ZSWO plays a crucial role in scrutinizing the application. If the application is found correct in all respects, it is forwarded to the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) Secretariat for further processing.
